Most of you are, but if you are not...

Keep praying for this little boy! I know most of you are in the "blog world," which is so much bigger than I ever knew about until the past year. I know most of you also read www.mycharmingkids.net, but if you don't, please check it out. It is a mom with a gigantic following on her blog, I think it is about to reach 6 million if it has not already. She is a very natural, organic, cloth diapering, fun to read girl named Jennifer. We prayed over the summer and this year for her little baby in utero, Stellan, because the doctors said he would die from SVT, which is a heart condition. I think it is called supraventricular tachychardia or something along those lines. Well, Stellan was born fine, which is why they now call him MckMiracle! Now he has been in the hospital a week with SVT and sometimes even V-tach. He got sick, had one nebulizer treatment at the ER, then the doctor did another before he left just to help a little more, and it sent his heart into SVT again. They cannot get it down, and pretty much the world has been praying for him. I haven't posted anything, but have had a burden and have been praying all week. Here is the link to her blog, but on the sidebar she does Twitter updates much more often than blog posts since she is in the hospital with him. You can read about the last 7 or so posts to get much more info, but just pray for him!

Ode to Spring

Spring, oh Spring
We looked for you,
About the cracked earth
Lacking any form of dew.

We watched the hustle
Of flowers being bought,
The long lines of pallets
And containers and pots.

We laughed when we saw
Neighbors planting away,
Watering through the nights
And fertilizing by day.

We warmed our faces
In the bright new sun,
Leaving our houses
To go have some fun.

Spring, oh Spring
Are you finally here?
Just look outside,
Spring has now appeared!

A Quick Glimpse, A Sweet Face, oh yeah, and a Bump that is Late!

The fruits of my week of labor:

Mailey's room for now. Yes, if you all recall the former post on reusing/being cheap, I have done it again. After looking FOREVER for just the right fabric for baby bedding, I decided to use what I had. Stacie will just die that we still have these, but when Makenna was 2 she gave us Peyton's old twin bedspreads that matched. Makenna has pretty much used one off and on since then. I have 2 bedskirts and 2 bedspreads, so I decided to use one skirt on the twin bed I repainted (Stacie gave us that, too), and one on the crib. Marc and I pinned it and then I whip-stitched it into a crib sized dust ruffle. With a plain cream bumper, and hopefully a crib matress to go in there sometime soon, I have rigged it an made it work. I also love the color...not too teal, not too blue, and it has other colors in it so I am not stuck in the two-toned look. Pink and yellow look great, too! So there you have it so far. Just call me cheap, recycle girl, or the ultimate rigger-upper, but it is what it is!

Here is some cutting in...the 2 1/2 day long cutting in, of the living room/dining/hall. Not much of a color difference, but the paint they put in the house was like chalk mixed with water. No joke, if you accidentally hit your hand on it you would bleed. I would never know because I don't ever run into walls...So now it feel so great and will be washable for all the other people in this house who never run into walls with their bodies, toys, crayons, or balls. Such a relief to be done!

Finished living room...who can spot the bag of clothes for Stephanie and the sleeping boy?

Here is Mailey's sweet face! I kind of freaked out when the sonographer just switched to 3D and showed me her face. I was not too sure I wanted to see what she looked like, but my mom was very quick to tell the lady that, "Yes! We do want to see her. Yes, you do want to see her face!" Isn't she cute? She looks a lot like Makenna asleep with the wider-set eyes and little mouth. We have no idea what nose she has, though! Also, much to my dismay, in 3D you are able to see the cord, and it is HUGELY LONG again. The lady was following it all over my stomach. One good thing is that it isn't by my cervix or underneath her. Why do I grow such long cords? The doctor says it is because my babies move a lot, and I think we could classify it as constantly!

Finally, I know I am like a week and a half late, but here is the bump at 27ish weeks. The only thing looking bigger to me is the face, hands, and arms! Don't forget the backside. Sigh! Puffiness!

THE A-B-Q

The kiddos are back from a wonderful time in Albuquerque. They went to the science museum, hiking, the zoo, the botanical gardens, rode the train to Santa Fe and back, and had so much fun! Here are some pics of their trip!

Taking a break at the zoo

Visiting the ducks with Bubba and Pat

Tracen and Makenna on a bug...Mak looks like a bug in those sahweet Hannah Montana Rock Star sunglasses!

Sweet Pat and George...we love them!

Train ride to Santa Fe...they call it "the Santa Fe."

A Little Fun and Off They Go!

Bubba and Sarah came through town on their way to Albuquerque to visit Sarah's parents. They helped so much with moving furniture, taking things off walls, and ironing bedskirts. :) They also decided to kidnap my children so I can keep painting and painting. Yesterday we went to the park and to get ice cream, and today they left for Albuquerque. I am way jealous...I love that city! The mountains, the peublos, the zoo, the best coffee ever, and THE George and Pat Fraser...they will have so much fun! Hopefully they will take a lot of pictures for me. The house is quiet, but progress is being made. I just wish I was taller, my bump was smaller, or my dad would not kill me if I stood on a ladder.

If you have a girlie...

*Update* If you click on the name Cora below you can read her blog and see some of the etsy items. They sell out almost immediately after they add things to their store, so you have to be super quick. The blog tells you when they are going to add

I have been following the story of a little girl named Cora for awhile. She was diagnosed with cancer and passed away only 3 short weeks later. Her mommy and grandmother have started a store on etsy, and the stuff is too cute! In fact, someone started a benefit store for Cora on etsy to support Cora's playground being built. Here is the link to the store...I think they sold out in the first day! They have such cute burp rags, dresses, hair clips, etc. Such great things and such a great cause! Go check it out!
