Catch Up

Hold on, because this will be long. I have a lot of catching up to do. Stuff has happened in our life, and dad gummit(how on earth do you even write that out?), I'm going to document it!

Julianne Is Here!

Julianne Avery Berridge is here!
I am sooooo excited for Brett and Beth...I can hardly contain myself!

She weighed 7.6 lbs. and was 20 inches long. And her hair...we cannot get over it! It is black and curly and there is a ton of it! How ironic that the girlie gets Brett's dark hair. I love her little cheeks so much already.

Yay...God, you have done great things!

8 Months Old

Mailey baby is 8 months old. Can anyone believe that? I was thinking back to last Valentines Day and realizing I only had 4 months left to go before she came. Now only 4 months until she is ONE. ONE. Oh my word! At the doctor we so frequently visit, she weighed 18.12. I think she might be slowing down some from crawling.

Some new adventures:
-Crawling everywhere. It is so weird to find her in the kitchen with me or out of her room in the hallway now.
-Pulling up on everything...tables, your leg, the wall, her crib, and even trying in her high chair.
-Smashing and crashing from pulling up. She has had many owies lately.
-Dancing! Anytime she hears music, even in the background, she starts to bounce up and down. It is too cute!
-Jumping! She finally learned how to jump in her jumper thing. Maybe it is not the greatest of achievements because she nearly launches out now.
-Chokes and dies on puffs. Cannot eat them at all. We will keep trying!
-Got 2 teeth! Great except for the horrible snot/coughing/wheezing virus she acquired at the same time. And yes, she has bitten me. OUCH!
-Has started to make the "puh" sound when the dogs bark. So crazy because Makenna did the same thing. She will stand up when I'm holding her in the chair, look out the windows, and mouth, "puh, puh, puh."
-Looks outside when we say "outside."
-Rolls her tongue. She is fiesta baby.
-While trying to teach her where her hair is, she instead grabs mine when I ask her. Not sure if she gets it yet, but it is funny!
-Loves the baby on the YoBaby yogurt.
-Says the sound "mamama" but not about me yet.
-Must be force fed all her spoon food. Only opens her mouth for the first bite. Never again. We just shove it in, but she is nowhere near eating enough baby food.
-Finally, after much therapy, she loves her bath again. Whew.
-Has pulled up, grabbed a toy out of her bins, and just stood there holding onto nothing a few times. No walking, please.

Here is a collage of her little life so far...in no order...I'm not that smart, people. I love this age and stage, and am trying to savor every second of it!

My 3 Beths

Ahhhh! My computer quit uploading pictures, so I am finally posting again!

I haven't forgotten, but just haven't had time to post about my wonderful Hollaback Jesus Girls. (I am sure some of you wanted me to forget!)

Today I'm introducing you to my 3 Beths.

BETH BERRIDGE

-sings beautifully...how we met at nine30 on the old-school worship team
-will give all she has for her friends
-drives and drives to make it to showers, birthday parties, births, and anytime you need her
-thinks of the little things that make life special...a chocolate coated spoon to use to stir your coffee, money stuck inside a clipboard-you turkey, or sweet prizes for special days
-is the epitome of self-discipline with food, points, money, life, I always learn so much from her
-sets goals and then does whatever it takes to make it to them
-prays and cries with me
-loves her friends fiercely through it all
-seeks God's will for her life
-takes amazing care of her husband and family
-is about to have a daughter after 2 boys!
I love this girl so much. She is one of the most faithful people I know and I am so blessed to be her friend.

BETH DALLAS

-loves to be a germ-a-phobe like me
-gets things done
-is super practical, but always willing to go that extra step when needed
-will tell you the truth
-answers questions about babies and life and sicks
-has a PhD and can make my brain hurt...not as much as Tim can, though:)
-loves God and believes Him
-has lost some very important people in her life, babies to grandmother to sister-in-law to mommy, and stands strong in her faith, knowing God is faithful to her
-has been delivered
-can play ultimate frisbee and beat most boys
-can run and run and run and run
-matches her kids' clothes most days...she has 4
-has 4 kids!!! Did I already say that? What an answer to prayer
-can go to yucky places with her friends and help them climb back out
I love being friends with Beth! Kids and life have bonded us together, and I am grateful.

BETH JUAREZ

-was in my 4th grade class from 1999-2000
-always includes people
-has been through some major junk, twice, and has sought Godly wisdom and His plan for her life and her family's life
-cares about her friends
-will fight for what she believes in
-fiercely protects her family and little cousins
-can see the big picture
-is an amazing athlete and trainer
-will ask for help when she needs it...even when I haven't filled out a college application or taken an English class in years!
-still hangs out with her old teacher
I loved this beautiful and mature little girl in my class that has become an amazing young lady in my eyes! We always want to see each other more, but when we do it is so fun. She has been an encouragement and a bright light in my life for 10 years. I'm so humbled that God put her in my class!
