Broken, Stinky, and Sweet

Well, pictures cannot convey stench or not working, so I am only posting some of the sweet section of the post. Sometime over the past week of the "Flood of the Century" and "Birthday Carnival of Craziness," our refrigerator, which is only 4 years old, decided to get hot on the top shelf. I thought I was just imagining things when the milk I had just bought and poured into a cup wasn't crisply cold like I like for it to be. Then the orange juice box did not feel cold when I picked it up. But when frost grew all over the freezer walls, I knew, and then was able to convince my husband, that something was wrong. The fridge is under a 5 yr warranty, but they said that if they come out and it is something not internal that we have to pay $75 just for the visit and then whatever repairs cost on top of that. Joy! Sounds like a stinky 5 yr warranty to me...and speaking of stinky, during the flood a mouse seems to have died inside the walls of our bathroom. Exact location would be the potty room of our bathroom. So not much pottying is going on in there. Last night Makenna decided that her throat was dry, and she needed to go to the potty. Instead of just getting some water and using her stinkless bathroom, she comes into our bedroom, wakes us up, opens the bathroom doors, and then opens the potty room door. She uses the restroom and never even says it stinks. While we, on the other hand, were hiding under the covers immediately upon the opening of the doors because it was horrendous!!!!! She never said a word about it, and just said her throat was hurting. Did you not smell that stench, lady???? I am thinking not. We are currently discussing our options. I vividly remember my Mom and Dad cutting holes into our walls to find dead rodents as I was growing up. We lived by a field and when they began to build houses, all the mice came to us. If you look in our gameroom you will see about 4 socket covers on the wall where such an adventure occurred. So we are trying to figure out another way to do the, um, surgery, to remove the STINKY mouse. If you were planning on visiting, I would definitely wait. As for the sweet, here are some pictures of Aussie, Makenna's dog. I swear she is the most loving dog I have ever seen. If you are anywhere near her she insists upon laying on you, putting her head on your shoulder, and just staring into your eyes. She was loving on Tyson the other afternoon while we were laying on the trampoline. Tracen wanted Tyson to jump him, and Aussie would not move from right beside him. She is hilarious. Such a super dog....we will have puppies in about a year if anyone wants one ; ).

UUUGGHH!!! Sounds like it's super fun at your house right now:). I am so sorry about the fridge, such a hassle. As far as the mouse goes...at least it's dead. When I was pregnant with Ally we had a mice infestation...and I literally thought I might go insane. I would hear them at night and see their "evidence" everywhere in our house. We had 4 different bug men come out to try and catch these crafty mice...not a fan of the rodent!!!!! I hope your weekend is spectacular:) Love you too.
PS Mark was wearing his Dallas Stars shirt...at least it was black:)
