Carol of the Freezing Lights

Carol of Lights this year was verrrrrry cold and super fun! All these pictures crack me up because we are all so bundled up and the kids can barely move. There were some delays and technical difficulties which made it seem even colder. The mic would not work, the soloist was only heard on select words of her solo, and Beth took Makenna, Eleri, and Abby to the potty and missed the whole thing! Our life, though, and must be documented. The kids loved seeing Raider Red and Santa. They all sang loudly, too. In the freezingness, I was able to be still and thank God that all those thousands of people, regardless of religion, were joining in singing "Silent Night." The words, "Christ the Savior is born" were on everyones' lips, if they believed it or not. Jesus was honored and given His One and Only title even at a state university. The cold temps brought our first snow this year, and the kiddos loved it, especially a little girlie catching her first flakes on her tongue.
