Coughing, coughing, everywhere
Kids can't stop,
Coughs don't care.
Swallow honey, meds and tea
Nothing works,
They cough on me.
Cough so hard they choke and gag
Up all night,
Eyelids sag.
Doctor visits multiply
No one knows,
Kids all cry.
Coughing, coughing, what to do?
Do not come
They'll cough on you!
(any suggestions or remedies or assistance would be much appreciated.)

when they cough does their face turn red? do they cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, and then take a deep breath? Have they drawn bloodwork to test for pertussis?

great poem! sad situation! I have heard of vicks on their feet and sleep in socks. never tried it though
