For Spring Break we did our yearly travel across Texas to see all the family. Those are some of the best vacations! Yes, we could "go somewhere," but we have so few days with everyone living way up here that it is worth going to see the best people on earth, even if they are way down there. Haha! First we got to see Jill and her sweet boy Anderson and our fav Hollyn Claire. My mom tried and tried to capture his smiles, but we kept missing. Flash might have been shocking him, too. He is so sweet and has grown so much since I met him a few days after Christmas. We had a good visit, the kids made messes, felt free to go to the potty there-ohmy, ask Jill for all of her snacks, and I got some maternity clothes from her stash. Wow. After selling/giving all of mine and being in that mentality of "yay I will never have to wear these again,"it is kinda hard thinking about needing them. Very grateful for hand me ups!
My dad knows a lady with horses in China Spring who wanted us to come and ride. What a treat! Mailey wanted on first and had a blast. She did not want to be done at all.
Tracen on the other hand was realllllly freaking out. 2 years ago he rode by himself on a 2 hour trail ride in Red River with zero problems. I don't know why he was so scared, but he was petrified. His shoulders were nearly touching his ears and I thought he was going to throw up. But he made it!
Mak loves riding, and they worked with her on proper seating and controlling the horse on her own. I wish we could go all the time. I think she would benefit from lessons in so many ways.
Here they all are. Tracen had to be coerced back on, but finally got brave for the pic. Can't let the girls win! It was so fun to do something different while we were there...
