One of my favorite things to do is to go to Arroyo Seco and visit our favorite potter. Scott Carlson is awesome, and happens to live next door to Julia Roberts, too. No lie. We usually call/email that we are coming so we will know if he's there, and this time he wasn't. Sad day. But we still got a few more wonderful coffee mugs. If you ever go to Taos or up, go see him. His studio is on the way to the Rio Grande gorge, so you can go there or to his little shop in Arroyo Seco.
Next door ish to the shop is the best ice cream I have ever had. Yes, better than homemade, better than Bluebell. Yes, I am still a southern girl AND a Texan. Facts are facts, people. The Taos Cow is just sooo New Mexico and sooo good. Anything with cinnamon is divine. Oh my makes me so hungry for some right now.
