Jesus is Alive!

Our Easter was filled with many things.

Many amazingly wonderful things!

For instance:

Listening to the Easter story in class...of course you have to have a basket on your head to listen better, didn't you know that?

Hunting for all the #9 eggs.

Smiling with Mrs. Gassiot's super class!

Taking a shower in Uncle Nelson's deluxe multiple showerhead shower.

Gazing at the view from the front porch of the fabulous house the Poorman's live in.

Sticking our feet in the Guadalupe River.

Playing in the non-Sugar(the dog) room.

Dying Easter eggs together.

Finding some Easter baskets filled with cool stuff.

Trying to get everyone to smile and look at the camera.

Loving on some cutie cousins.

Cracking up at Mailey and her smirks.

Posing for family photos.

Taking the creative route to get a calm and perfect picture.

Laughing with Mommy.

Finding a first egg.

Hunting where there are actually places to hide eggs...like rocks and trees and hills.

Smashing each other on the head with Coscorones.

Loving on some much-missed grandparents.(and somehow having no pictures of Grandma...how did that happen? So sad!)

Most importantly, celebrating that Jesus is Alive!

Angels and Coconuts

Here are my wonderfully creative kids.

They can turn anything into, well, anything.

The item of the night was tissue paper.

The supplies consisted of tissue paper and scotch tape.

The result was two floaty angelic beings.

Yes, one angel has, it would seem, taped her eyebrows down with scotch tape.

After flying about for a bit, the smallest angel disappeared.

We asked what he was doing in the kitchen.

He replied, "I'm making coconuts!"

"Coconuts?"

"Yes."

He soon returned and we saw this:

His version of coconuts.

"I needed to hula and had to have coconuts!"

Where is my angel?????

The Winds of Change

Well, they are blowing.

Right now our life feels kinda like this:

While I am more a fan of this kind of wind:

We are experiencing a redirection in:
Work
House
Neighborhood
Life

Tyson is closing the store he has owned for nearly 9 years. There have been so many wonderful blessing from the business, and so many crazy times, too.

It is just time for a change.

The problem...or maybe the blessing...is that we have no idea what will come next.
Job?
House?
School?
Town?

We don't know.

But we do know that God has a great plan for us, and we are looking forward to our next steps.

They might be bumpy, unlevel, and steep, but they are made for us right now.

Who knows what will happen next???

Maybe we will end up here...

Or we could be living in something like this?

Heaven only knows!

Just a Swangin'...Because I'm 9 months old!

Mailey baby is 9 months old. I loooove this age for so many reasons, and I don't like it for just as many, too!

Love:
discovering new things every day
learning and mimicking what we say and do
talking more
loving on baby dolls
squealing with delight at life
hugs and kisses
pat-pats
crawling all around the house
cruising around furniture
more people food
nursing less

Don't like:
separation anxiety
crawling all around the house
getting hurt from falling 10x a day
tooty and constipated from people food
nursing less
separation anxiety...did I already say that?

Ok, so there are way more reasons that I love her being 9 months old!

Stats:
18.14 lbs.
Size 4 diapers
Size 12-18 month clothes...I keep wondering why I have all these little Gymboree bows and shoes that are too big to match these outfits, and it is because Mak had HAIR and 2 year old sized feet because she was 2 1/2 wearing these same clothes!! Makes me realize how tiny she really was then.

Mailey does not like:
People taking her or picking her up unless you are one of us
Being in the nursery
Having a Hooter Hider over her while eating
Wearing a bib
Getting out of the bathtub
Having the snots...who does?
The booger sucker
Bonking her head
Wearing anything on her feet
Sleeping in her own bed when she is snotty
Toots
Sippy cups, any brand, size, or kind
Getting hollered at after biting her momma
Touching the grass
Wind...and where do we live??

Mailey loves:
Kissing and talking to her baby
Going to Da Da Da
Makenna and her hair
Tracen and patting his back
Road trips
Rolling her tongue alllll the time
Patting anyone's back that picks her up...if she likes you and does not go balistic first because you are not her mommy...sorry everyone. :)
Stars and any food she can pick up, finally!
Me
Her suckers...if you tell her to get her sucker, she goes and gets it
Taking off her shoes and socks...screams with excitement when she sees her feet
Taking a bath...screams with anger if you take her out...will not hold her arms out for you to take her and hides them down by her sides without looking at you so you won't be able to pick her up and get her out of the bath. Smart cookie.
Drinking out of a big person cup and clanking her teeth on it
Pooping out of every known diaper in the Western World
Saying I love you with her head tilt
Puppies and any moving animal
Swinging for her first time!

Yay for 9 months old!!!!

Julianne Is Here!

Julianne Avery Berridge is here!
I am sooooo excited for Brett and Beth...I can hardly contain myself!

She weighed 7.6 lbs. and was 20 inches long. And her hair...we cannot get over it! It is black and curly and there is a ton of it! How ironic that the girlie gets Brett's dark hair. I love her little cheeks so much already.

Yay...God, you have done great things!
