What Mailey is up to!

Mailey is 6 weeks old...can anyone believe it? She is growing way too fast, and I keep telling her to slow it down! I'm loving this baby-time!
Here are some facts about this 6 week old:
She can hold her head up like a champ.
She has moved to size 1 diapers.
Her eyes are deep blue.
She hates to have her arms swaddled.
She coos at you, especially when Bubba does the elephant noise.
She loves to smile back at you.
She has a lot of stomach junk and sometimes freaks out when she is nursing.
Her poops are projectile and can be heard across the room...or rooms.
She grunts.
She has already been on a 7 hour road trip to see her first mountain.
She loves to have her feet rubbed.
She stares at the letters on her wall in her room forever.
She sleeps about 5 hours at night, then a 3 or 4 hour stretch...on her good nights.
She sneezes a lot.
She loves to be in the sling.
She wants her diapers changed quickly or she is mad.
Her pacifier pops out when she is truly asleep.
She stands up in our arms and scoots across the floor in tummy time.
She loves putting her face by my face :)

That about wraps it up for the 6 week info. She is so much fun! We are trying to figure out the stomach thing. If there is any gas or poop in there, she is not happy at all, then she can't eat, then she is starving, then she is sucking down air, and the cycle repeats itself. Poor baby! How many doses can we possibly give of Mylicon???

3 Weeks

Mailey is 3 weeks old! We still all agree she is just too cute. ;) Our house is about to feel empty because Makenna and Tracen are going on a mini-vacation with Mim and Pop to San Antonio and Corpus. Then we will all be off to Red River, my favorite place to be. I cannot wait to come around into the valley and smell the mountain air! Yippeeee!

Happy 3 weeks, Mailey baby!

Here is her first bath...picture by Makenna

I also have to add these...I had to use Makenna's camera and downloaded what was on it. She and Tracen had a photo shoot. I love the thumb hooked in his pocket and the side pose!

A Few Good Weeks

Mailey has been so much fun and we love her more than we could imagine already. We love her little elf face, her soft floaty hair, her deep eyes, and circle mouth! She has been so good...most nights she goes for 5 hours between feedings and then a 4 hour stretch. If I could just get to sleep the instant I'm done feeding her it would help! That 10 or 11pm feeding just makes me want to run around and pick stuff up or take a shower or just watch some show on tv. Awful, I know! I am trying to be ready for bed before that feeding so I can go to sleep, so maybe I will be better? I've also been a little busier, so blogging has gone by the wayside. We have had some wonderful visitors come see us. Thank you so much to all of you who travelled to meet Mailey! Here is a picture review of the last two weeks.

Freedom!

Mailey is allowed out of the bilibed! Her levels are at a 10.4, and if she is sleeping we still need to put her in the bed through tomorrow, but at least she is free! What if she hates clothes now after having naked time for 3+ days? She looks pretty happy about this bit of news!

Here are some Father's Day pictures. The oldest girl was having none of it in the first picture and the youngest girl was following in big sister's footsteps in the second. Tracen is all smiles!

ET...or a baby in a bili bed

*Update*Mailey's levels are down to a 12.3, so maybe today will be the end of the bed! and i have no idea why this link thing is here now...because i updated on my phone?

href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgthmcJji9oV4VU0NqasPsjHjktzYwvZgG8FkC9vau-DzdGy3nLbCyhXPYVUg7TeJitS8lsnM9b0eBkrgP9eLbFaNgpZiMQ8M8smPAokP_pjbVweKD-2ZvO29LpxPEx2GA_P6NUZH0D-uvV/s1600-h/DSCF5097.JPG">
Doesn't this pic remind you of ET? She is like a little alien all strapped in there. At least in this picture she is sleeping. Most of the time she is screaming hysterically. Pray her levels go down sooooooon. We are delerious from nursing, burping, fixing a bottle, supplementing with formula(I HATE doing this, but the nurses said formula gets the bilirubin out faster), burping again, changing her diaper, putting her in the bed, pumping, then having about 30 minutes before it all starts again. Whew! Welcome to the world little yellow baby! Now just let your mom get some sleep! And yes, I am blogging while I could be sleeping for a bit. Dedication is my middle name.

Here is a before picture. All happy on the way to the doctor for her one week visit. Little did we know... She is back to birth weight according to the home health nurses scale, so that is great. Everything else with her is fine, so pray for her levels to be at or below at 10 pronto. Yesterday they were at 19.8!

Thankful

I am thankful for...

Mailey Leslie Williams, June 16, 2009, 12:15pm, 7 lbs., 19 inches.

NO C-SECTION!!!!!

My most wonderful doctor being on call the night we went in through the next day.

UMC being such a family oriented and caring hospital.

My Pump In Style :).

My parents being there on time for her birth.

Makenna and Tracen being so loving and kind to their little sis.

Tyson not getting woozy and even being able to cut the cord...well, Dr. C made him.

Taking pictures of sweet friends that came to visit.

A cord that was long, but not nearly as long as before.

Meals I already cooked.

Mom helping out so much.

Dad driving to Waco Sunday and back to Lubbock Monday.

Mr. Art's prayers that put me into labor on his 80th birthday...we almost made it!

Being able to get around and do things so quickly with no pain.

My sweet Jesus!

Happy Father's Day Again!

I know I have so much more to say and announce...maybe the passing of a small child from my womb being number one, but with not much time, I wanted to say Happy Father's Day to Tyson! Yay for being a daddy 3 times, and for being such a wonderful one at that. We love you!
